The Sunderland Young Achievers’ Awards are about recognising young people’s personal achievements. They are not simply about being ‘the best’ at something – they are about looking at achievements when measured against the starting point, or the circumstances surrounding the young person at the time.

Please give as much relevant information as possible – remember, the judges don’t know anything about your nominee and can only judge from the information you provide!

Using a minimum of 150 words, please state the reasons for your nomination. Where possible, please give examples of the nominee’s achievements and explain why they are deserving of an award.

Note: in the academic achievement category we are not looking for the person who has achieved the highest grades – we are looking for a personal achievement in the academic field.
