The awards are open to anyone aged 8 to 20 years living in Sunderland, Washington, Houghton and Hetton. Award categories include: Music and Performing Arts, Personal Achievement, Young Carer, Volunteer, Sport and Service to the Community. An awards ceremony usually takes place in the summer months each year, although our 2020 and 2021 events have taken place virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, with winners, runners up and nominators joining us for an online awards ceremony.
