CPD and Training Non-attendance and Cancellation Policy

Please take the time to read our ‘non-attendance and cancellation fee’ policy. When booking a place on a session or course, the employer of the participant will be subject to our non-attendance and cancellation fee policy. 

Cancellation of booking for all courses will incur the following charges: 

Timing of Cancellation

Fee to be charged

Non-attendance without cancellation

100% of the fee

7 working days or less before the start of the event

100% of the fee

8-14 working days before the start of the CPD/training/event

50% of the fee

15 working days or more before the start of the CPD/training/event

No charge

 

All cancellations must be made via email to the Together for Children’s School Improvement Service Professional Development email address shown below: 

professional.development@togetherforchildren.org.uk

Proof of any cancellation should be retained by the school, early years settings and child-minders failure to do so will result in the session/course still being charged. Schools, early year’s settings and child-minders can substitute one delegate for another to avoid cancellation fees. Requests to substitute must be made via email to the address shown above in order for certificates and course registers to be updated.

Cancellation fees for subscription members:

It is requested that, where possible subscribers follow the cancellation policy above and where possible a substitute is sent on training. There will be no charge for non-attendance at courses for those providers who sign up to the subscription. However any place on training that was not attended without notice will be counted and taken as part of the provider’s subscription allocation.  

Cancellation of training sessions/CPD events by Together for Children

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any course/ event or programme for the following reasons: 

  • Insufficient numbers to make the course viable;
  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Together for Children for example trainer/facilitator illness, severe weather conditions, travel problems, premises issues.

If this happens, we will inform you as soon as possible using the contact details provided at the point of booking. An alternative date will be offered where possible.
