Sunderland also hosts two popular events every year – the Sunderland International Airshow and Sunderland Illuminations – which attract visitors from all over the UK.

Many of the city's attractions are free, meaning you can enjoy a great day out without breaking the bank. It also has a wide range of restaurants and bars and hosts its own annual Restaurant Week.

If you love shopping, then you will want to visit the Bridges Shopping Centre which has over 90 stores including some of the top high street names.

Sunderland is easily accessible and has an excellent transport system, so you can hop on a train, bus or Metro and explore the region or travel by car.

The city also offers high quality and affordable housing and a low cost of living, so it is a great place to live and work.
